KEY WORKER

What is a key worker?

A Key Worker is an early intervention professional (e.g. early childhood teacher, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, psychologist) who provides coordinated support to children and their families.

The Key Worker acts as a central point of contact supporting families to coordinate the services and support they are engaged with.

The Key Worker can support children aged 0-7 years.

Who is the kdsp key worker?

KDSP is very fortunate to have Haleigh, an experienced early childhood teacher and NDIS planner, as the key worker on our team.

WHAT can the key worker support my child/family with?

  • Supporting you to work towards the goals you have set for your child
  • Help you implement therapeutic strategies into your daily routines
  • Connect your family with resources and services

What developmental areas will the key worker support

As an early childhood teacher Haleigh can support children with goals in many areas including play, communication, motor skills, cognitive, self care skills (feeding, toileting, dressing), emotional regulation, and school transition.

Where are key worker appointments?

The Key Worker works in your child's natural environment as much as possible - home, childcare, kindergarten, or other community settings.

This is is because children learn best in the places where they spend the most time, doing the things that they are interested in, with the people that matter to them most.

We can offer clinic based appointments where necessary.
