A Key Worker is an early intervention professional (e.g. early childhood teacher, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, psychologist) who provides coordinated support to children and their families.
The Key Worker acts as a central point of contact supporting families to coordinate the services and support they are engaged with.
The Key Worker can support children aged 0-7 years.
KDSP is very fortunate to have Haleigh, an experienced early childhood teacher and NDIS planner, as the key worker on our team.
As an early childhood teacher Haleigh can support children with goals in many areas including play, communication, motor skills, cognitive, self care skills (feeding, toileting, dressing), emotional regulation, and school transition.
The Key Worker works in your child's natural environment as much as possible - home, childcare, kindergarten, or other community settings.
This is is because children learn best in the places where they spend the most time, doing the things that they are interested in, with the people that matter to them most.
We can offer clinic based appointments where necessary.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with our Key Worker, please contact us. We would be happy to assist you. Phone 03 4112 2072.
